Omar Ponce

Born in Los Angeles. Raised in Mexico. Graduate of UC Berkeley, the National Hispanic Media Coalition's Writers Program and NBC's Writers on the Verge Writing Program. As a writer, I've had the chance to create campaigns in both General and Hispanic markets for clients like Honda, Jack in the Box, Hulu, and Uber, as well as project work for films like "The Book of Life", "Deadpool", and "Straight Outta Compton". At 72andSunny, I helped develop and took creative lead on national campaigns for Target and Coors. In 2019, I became a staff writer for the Netflix kids/family show "Team Kaylie", developing stories and getting an Episode 10 script assignment during their first season run. I've recently been doing project work for Uninterrupted, an athlete empowerment brand created by LeBron James and Maverick Carter, working for clients like Calm, Sharpie, Nike (coming soon). In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, playing thoroughly tone deaf music with my son Owen, and bourbon. Sweet, glorious bourbon.
